How do I request my official transcript from Kenya to be delivered to NXU?

Transcripts are considered official when sent directly from your awarding institution to Nexford University (NXU). This guide will help you request your transcripts and other required documents to be sent to NXU. Just search for your previous institution's name and follow the provided instructions.

Important: Limited number of institutions are covered in the article. If your institution is not listed, you may need to contact them directly to inquire about their transcript application process.

Transcript application processes may change over time. Always verify the latest procedures with your former institution before submitting your request. This will ensure a smooth and timely delivery.

  1. Download and complete the Transcript Request Form available on the Service Offered page of the institution's website.
  2.  Pay the official transcript fee of 1,5000 KES via M-PESA Paybill 4060393, using Transcript as the account name.
  3. Email the completed transcript request form and proof of payment to records.office@africainternational.edu or submit in person at the Records Office.
  • Delivery options: Transcript may be delivered electronically or via mail. Should you choose to forward a hard copy of your transcript to Nexford University, additional payment of 4,960 KES is required. 
  • Estimated processing time: 2 weeks

Catholic University of Eastern Africa

  1. Send an email to the Office of the Academic Registrar at secretaryregistrar@cuea.edu and copy registrar@cuea.edu, requesting your certified transcript to be sent to Nexford University with the following information:
    1. Scanned copies of your degree certificate and transcript
    2. Reference number (your NXU learner ID)
    3. Recipient email address: transcripts@nexford.edu

Chuka University

A processing fee of 5,000 KES is required to send your certified transcripts to Nexford University.

  1. Pay the processing fee to the university's bank account using the details below:

A fee of 1,050 KES is required to send your certified transcripts to Nexford University.

Egerton University 

To request official transcript verification from Egerton University, follow the steps below:

  1. Make payment of Six hundred Kenya Shillings (600/=) to the following account (payment proof must be attached together with the request)

    3. Evidence of payment of 600/KSh. (payment receipt)
  3. Preferred method of delivery is electronic submission, therefore indicate Nexford's email address (transcripts@nexford.edu) in your email request and send your email.

Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology

Learners have two options for sending their certified transcripts to Nexford University:
  1. Transcript certification (for graduates who had been issued with a transcript upon graduation)
    1. Send an email to the Deputy Registrar, Examinations at examinations@aa.jkuat.ac.ke, requesting your transcript to be certified with the following information: 
  2. New transcript request (for graduates who are yet to receive their transcript)
    1. Request a transcript application form by emailing the Deputy Registrar, Examinations, at examinations@aa.jkuat.ac.ke.
    2. Complete the form following the provided instructions.
    3. Pay the fee of 500 KES per transcript at the Finance Office (KCB Bank Account Number: 1107586127).
    4. Submit the completed form and proof of payment to the Deputy Registrar, Examinations via email, specifying that the transcript should be sent to transcripts@nexford.edu.
  • Estimated processing time: 2 - 3 weeks

Kabarak University

  1. Send an email to the Academic Registrar at academicregistrar@kabarak.ac.ke and academic_registrar@kabarak.ac.ke to request the certification of your transcript and its delivery to Nexford University with the following information:
    1. Scanned copies of your degree certificate and transcript
    2. Academic information:
      • Your full name
      • Student ID number
      • Program conferred
      • Graduation year
    3. Recipient details

Karatina University

  1. Send an email to the Office of the Registrar (Academic Affairs) at registrararsa@karu.ac.ke to request the certification of your transcript and its delivery to Nexford University with the following information:

  • Note: Karatina University provides transcripts with certificates upon graduation; ensure you have received your transcript before proceeding.

  1. Send an email to Examinations Office at examinations@kcau.ac.ke and copy the Office of the Registrar (registrar@kcau.ac.ke) requesting your degree certificate and transcript to be certified and sent to Nexford University with the following information:
    1. Scanned copies of your degree certificate and transcript
    2. Academic information:
      • Your full name
      • Student ID number
      • Program conferred
      • Graduation year

Kenya Methodist University

A fee of 2,000 KES is required to have your certified transcripts sent to Nexford University.
  1. Pay the transcript fee of 2,000 KES via M-PESA and secure the proof of payment. Refer to the payment details below:

Kenyatta University

Learners have two options for sending their certified transcripts to Nexford University:

  1.  Learner-initiated request
    1. Send an email to the Transcripts, Graduation and Certificates Section at either head-transcripts@ku.ac.ke or head-graduation@ku.ac.ke, requesting your certified transcript with the following information:
      • Scanned copy of your degree transcript
      • Your full name
      • Student ID number
      • Recipient email address: transcripts@nexford.edu
  2. NXU-initiated verification
    1. Email the NXU Admissions Team at admissions@nexford.edu to request assistance with transcript verification.
    2. Attach scanned copies of your degree certificate and transcript for the Admissions Team to reference.
    3. The Admissions Team will contact Transcripts, Graduation and Certificates Section on your behalf, copying you in the email.

Kisii University

  1. Send an email to the Office of the Registrar Academic Affairs at acregistrar@kisiiuniversity.ac.ke, requesting your certified transcript with the following information:
    1. Scanned copies of your degree certificate and transcript
    2. Your full name
    3. Student ID number
    4. Recipient email address: transcripts@nexford.edu
  • Note: Certification of transcripts and certificates is free of charge

Maseno University

  1. Send an email to the Office of the Registrar at draa@maseno.ac.ke, requesting your certified transcript with the following information:
    • Scanned copies of your degree certificate and transcript
    • Your full name
    • Student ID number
    • Recipient email address: transcripts@nexford.edu
  2. The institution will provide information on the applicable fee and payment instructions. Once received, complete the payment to finalize the process.

Moi University

Moi University provides free first-time certifications of transcripts if you already have your degree certificate and transcript. Subsequent requests for certification or those requested by other institutions will incur a fee of 50 KES per page.

  1. Send an email to the Examinations Office at exams@mu.ac.ke, requesting that your certified transcript be sent to Nexford University. Ensure you include the following details:

Steps to obtain or reprint your transcript:

  • First-time transcript request 
    • To request your transcript for the first time, submit the following documents to the Examinations Office:
      • Completed online clearance form
      • Form 4 (KCSE) certificate
      • Identification card or passport copy (you must present the original ID in person)
  • Reprinting of transcripts:
    • Submit the following to the Examinations Office:
      • Scanned copy of your degree certificate
      • Your student registration number
      • Payment of 1,000 KES

    3. Enter the service code: MOICTV
    4. Enter the reference: {your name}
    5. Enter the amount and confirm
    6. Wait for an STK Push to enter your PIN or receive text message with payment options

Mount Kenya University

Learners have two options for sending their certified transcripts to Nexford University:

  1. Learner-initiated request
    1. Send an email to the Office of the Registrar at registrar@mku.ac.ke, requesting your certified transcript with the following information:
      • Scanned copies of your degree certificate and transcript
      • Your full name
      • Student ID number
      • Recipient email address: transcripts@nexford.edu
  2. NXU-initiated verification
    1. Email the NXU Admissions Team at admissions@nexford.edu to request assistance with transcript verification.
    2. Attach scanned copies of your degree certificate and transcript for the Admissions Team to reference.
    3. The Admissions Team will contact the Office of the Registrar (registrar@mku.ac.ke) on your behalf, copying you in the email.
  • Notes:
    • Electronic certification of transcripts is free of charge.
    • Physical delivery of a certified transcript to Nexford University's mailing address will incur a fee, which must be covered by the learner.

Multimedia University of Kenya

Learners are required to visit the institution in person to request their academic transcript:

  1. Visit your faculty department and complete the transcript request form.
  2. Pay the processing fee.
  3. Once your transcript is ready, take it to the Office of the Registrar for certification.
  4. After the certification process, ask the Registrar Academic Affairs to send the certified transcript directly to Nexford University at transcripts@nexford.edu.

Presbyterian University of East Africa

  1. Email the NXU Admissions Team at admissions@nexford.edu to request assistance with transcript verification.
  2. Attach scanned copies of your degree certificate and transcript for the Admissions Team to reference.
  3. The Admissions Team will contact the University Registrar (registrar@puea.ac.ke) on your behalf, copying you in the email.

For learners who did not receive clearance after graduation or those who have lost a copy of their transcript, a fee of 2,000 KES must be paid to secure a transcript.

United States International University - Africa

A processing fee of 525 KES is required to have your official transcript sent to Nexford University.

  1. Pay the fee by following the instructions in this link: payment process and options.
  2. Send your transaction details to the Finance Office at finance@usiu.ac.ke for verification.
  3. Upon payment confirmation, the Finance Office will endorse your request to the Registrar's Office for processing with you in copy.
  4. You can follow up with the Registrar's Office at registra@usiu.ac.ke regarding the status of your transcript request.
  • Important reminders:
    • Clear outstanding balance(s). Make sure your account has no outstanding balances. Any financial hold may cause delays in processing your requests.
    • M-PESA payments. When making payments via M-PESA, use the following format for your account number:
      • [Your Student ID] – [Purpose Code]
      • Example: If your Student ID is 123456 and you’re requesting a transcript, enter it as 123456-TSPT (where -TSPT is the specific code for transcript requests).

University of Eastern Africa, Baraton

A fee of 500 KES is required to have your official transcript sent to Nexford University.

University of Nairobi

  1. Learners can submit a request to forward their certified transcript to Nexford University either by visiting the institution in person or by submitting a request online through the institution's CRM portal.
  2. The first transcript request is processed free of charge. However, if you have previously collected your transcript, a reissuance fee of 500 KES will apply.
  3. Ensure that the institution sends your transcript directly to transcripts@nexford.edu.
